Therapeutic Approach

I am committed to making therapy a safe and meaningful experience, developing a relationship with you based on trust to promote your change. My approach is trauma informed, strength-based, and client-centered, meaning I use a variety of counselling models and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client.  I use evidence-based knowledge and tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness techniques, etc. to address your unique needs. I believe that everyone has great potential to improve their life and

"The role of the psychotherapist is to provide the client with a secure base from which they can explore their life, past and present, many of which he/she finds difficult or perhaps impossible to think about and reconsider without a trusted companion to provide support, encouragement, sympathy, and, on occasion guidance" - John Bowlby
